Over 300 runners will participate in Hobart’s boutique fun run on December 30th 2018 - the Race to the Taste.
The event is organised by the OVA Southern Saints Athletics Club and features a picturesque 3km or 6km run or walk. Runners start at the Domain Athletics Centre and finish at the doorstep of the Taste of Tasmania festival. Along with encouraging health and wellbeing through physical activity, the Race to the Taste have chosen Lend a Hand to Hugo as their official charity partner for the 2018 edition.
A portion of every entry will be donated to Lend a Hand to Hugo, which will benefit our All Abilities sporting programs.
“Being a Tasmanian based charity, we really value our work engaging with the Tasmanian community, including events like the Race to the Taste”, Lend a Hand to Hugo Founder Luke Williams said.
“The Race presents a fantastic opportunity for us, particularly given our heavy involvement in sport and providing opportunities to people with a disability”.
Event director Brendan Hanigan said it’s great that an initiative from the event committee in supporting a smaller, local charity.
“Both the run and Lend a Hand to Hugo are small organisations that are rooted in the Tasmanian community.”
“It’s a great partnership formed through a direct link between beneficiaries of the charity and members of the OVA Southern Saints club.”
This year the Race is supported by primary partner Spectran Group along with event partners Aldanmark Consulting Engineers, Duggans and Domin8 Designs.
